Subject: True or False

Can you guess which of the following are true and which are false?
The comments are mine.

1 Apples, not caffeine, are more efficient at waking you up in the morning. (You can't mix milk and sugar with apples.)
2. Alfred Hitchcock didn't have a belly button. (Sounds like a personal problem.)
3. A pack-a-day smoker will lose approximately 2 teeth every 10 years. (A non smoker looses them faster if they hassle me again about smoking.)
4 People do not get sick from cold weather; it's from being indoors a lot more. (and swapping slobbers.)

5. When you sneeze, all bodily functions stop, even your heart! (Oh, that's heartless.)
6. Only 7 per cent of the population are lefties. (With odds like that, why not change.)
7. Forty people are sent to the hospital for dog bites every minute. (How many for cat bites?)
8. Babies are born without kneecaps. They don't appear until they are 2-6 years old. (We've seen that one before.)
9 The average person over 50 will have spent 5 years waiting in lines. (That's just at the bathrooms.)
10. The toothbrush was invented in 1498. (Poor old Columbus.)
11. The average housefly lives for one month. (Not in my house.)
12. 40,000 Americans are injured by toilets each year. (Gives a whole new meaning to fetish.)
13. A coat hanger is 44 inches long when straightened. (What's that used to measure.)
14. The average computer user blinks 7 times a minute. (Not a jaws user.)
15. Your feet are bigger in the afternoon than any other time of day. (What if you sleep in the morning.)
16. Most of us have eaten a spider in our sleep. (Itsy bitsy spider,... yuck!)
17. The REAL reason ostriches stick their head in the sand is to search for water. (Would you like scotch with that?)
18. The only two animals that can see behind themselves without turning
their heads are the rabbit and the parrot. (And, they use mirrors.)
19. John Travolta turned down the starring roles in "An Officer and a
Gentleman" and "Tootsie". (John who?)
20. Michael Jackson owns the rights to the South Carolina State anthem. (Only if it's sung by an all boys choir.)
21 . In most television commercials advertising milk, a mixture of white
paint and a little thinner is used in place of the milk. (Um Um good.)
22. Prince Charles and Prince William NEVER travel on the same airplane,
just in case there is a crash. (or one of them wants to go bar hopping.)
23. The first Harley Davidson motorcycle built in 1903 used a tomato can
for a carburetor. (Oh can it. You expect me to believe that?)
24. Most hospitals make money by selling the umbilical cords cut from women
who give birth. They are used in vein transplant surgery. (Oh how cute.)
25. Humphrey Bogart was related to Princess Diana They were 7th cousins. (Not kissing cousins, I hope.)
26. If coloring weren't added to Coca-Cola, it would be green. (What if you added green coloring, what would it be?)

And now, the envelope please?

*They are all true....
Now go back and think about #16.

Um, I don't believe two and eight. How can you not have a belly button? Only Adam wouldn't have. Second, you can feel kneecaps on babies. If they didn't have them, they couldn't walk or crawl either.

SisterDawn, it's true that babies are born without kneecaps. I learned that in anatomy, when I took it in high school, and again when I had it for my massage therapy schooling. I know it sound sstrange, but it is true.

Bob, I don't believe some of those, but I loved your comments for all of them.

How can someone be able to walk without knee caps and how can so many people get injured by toilet seats?

Post 6 by purple penguin (Don't you hate it when someone answers their own questions? I do.) on Sunday, 20-Jan-2008 14:24:30

I guess the lid of the toylet seat falls on the person?

Post 7 by Reyami (I've broken five thousand! any more awards going?) on Sunday, 20-Jan-2008 19:39:22

I believe the statement about babies not having kneecaps until they're between two and six. Why would that part of their legs feel so rounded if they had them?

Post 8 by louiano (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Sunday, 20-Jan-2008 19:55:18

lol yeah really, what would they have instead of kneecaps. I never learned that in anatomy. Then again, why do they sterilize letha ingections?

Maybe it's the people without kneecaps being hurt by the toilet seats.
